On the 17th December, in Sala Plana at FAUP, was hosted the conference “How Buildings Dream", delivered by Daniel Barber, architect and professor at TU Eindhoven. The session brought together a large number of students and an audience for a thought-provoking discussion.
Following a brief introduction by Professor Eliseu Gonçalves, Barber’s lecture unfolded around three key themes: Posthumanism, addressing transversal issues of the Anthropocene; Neoliberalism, explored through self-optimisation, accumulation by dispossession, and self-reliance; and Thermal Practices, questioning transversal, operational, and deliberately uncomfortable approaches to environmental design.
This event is organised within the scope of the funded project WellBEH [2023.11189.PEX].
