With the participation of Ana Tostões, Franz Graf and Giuseppe Galbiati, the roundtable “Reclaiming the Past, Designing the Future”, moderated by Nuno Valentim, proposed a critical reflection on the preservation of modern collective housing heritage and energy performance demands, highlighting economic and regulatory constraints, the contribution of interdisciplinary decision-support methodologies, and the role of digital tools and energy simulations in guiding retrofit strategies.
With this approach, the goal was to promote holistic and critical perspectives on the energy retrofit of housing complexes, fostering dialogue among research, architectural practice, and technological innovation.
